Lessons Learned from the Sugar Cubes Related Posts Introducing Miss Feather

Hey there, bees! It’s the brand new Miss Feather here. I just about jumped out of my chair with excitement when we got back from our rainy, post Valentine’s Day hike and found an email from Mrs. Mouse waiting for me. I’m so excited to share our ceremony ideas, venue-hunting adventures, my quest for the perfect dress, *deep thoughts* about our future together, and everything related to our journey to married life with all of you.

I met Mr. Feather a little over two years ago while we were both living in the Bay Area doing typical San Francisco things—him startups, me graduate school. Since then, we’ve lived in three states (and broken two leases, ouch), road tripped all over the country in his much loved Mini Cooper, crisscrossed Europe on a fun adventure to a friend’s wedding in a vineyard in the Rheingau region of Germany, and adopted a furry cuddle companion and hiking buddy.

As a software developer by trade, Mr. Feather is the more analytical person, while I’m the one who brings the feelings to the table. We both love the outdoors and love to spend our weekends hiking in the Cascades, skiing and snowshoeing in the winter and sailing on my dad’s catamaran in the summer. If we have a chance to get outdoors, we’ll take it.

Mr. Feather and I moved to Seattle from Los Angeles in November so he could take advantage of an amazing job opportunity. We’re pretty psyched to tie the knot in our new Pacific Northwest digs and are excited to have 60 friends and family members joining us from Mr. Feather’s home state of Texas and my home state of New Jersey, plus Missouri, California, and possibly Germany and Canada.

By now you’re probably wondering who these two handsome folks are and how we came to be such an adorable pair. Well, pull up a chair, get your “awwwwwws” ready and your tissues handy, and stick around for my next post!
